WIRELESS FIRE ALARM WITH ACCESSORY KIT
The Fire Alarm with Accessory Kit is a new product that was developed for impaired or elderly individuals. Also, we at HomeSafe recommend this product in homes today as a safety backup to alert for fire or smoke emergencies. Studies suggest that using a strobe light only with alert products do not wake individuals immediately. This could be due to handicap or impaired situations and people who sleep deeply. Studies do suggest that when using a heavy duty bed/pillow vibrator and ADA approved strobe light in combination wakes up individuals immediately. In case of smoke, it is imperative that the individual wakes immediately and not consume too much of smoke inhalation.
This kit contains the following:
Power Supply - designed to operate with AC power with battery backup. It supplies power to a heavy duty pillow/bed vibrator, strobe light, and an additional accessory outlet for X10 accessories such as the receiver shown in the picture above that operates the wireless fire/smoke alarm. Battery included.
Strobe Light - designed to operate with the power supply that releases a powerful light illumination up to 115 candella power.
Bed/Pillow Vibrator - designed to operate with the power supply that will wake the heaviest of sleepers or impaired individuals. It has a safety built in temperature sensor to eliminate overheating. Build in temperature sensor protects the unit against overheating.
Wireless Fire/Smoke Alarm with Receiver - designed to operate with the power supply that allows the individual to place the wireless fire/smoke alarm at any location within the home. When the fire/smoke alarm detects smoke or fire, it activates the receiver that activates the power supply and the strobe light and bed/pillow vibrator.
This product was not designed to replace the fire alarms within the home. It is recommended as an additional safety backup component to aid in saving lives related to smoke or fire events due to recent research.
